The marriage of sex and spirituality

Yes, sex is a taste of divinity. Many of us know from personal experience` that we can intentionally use sexual ecstasy to amplify both our earthly bliss and our connection to God.

We'd like to share with you the not-very-secret secret of exactly how to do that. Unfortunately, it's far more involved than anything that can be fully explained on a web page. It is; however, explained in considerable detail in the book, "A Blissful Yoni Dance." by R. Robin Cote'.

"A Blissful Yoni Dance" is a self-awareness story about life, love, romance, and the intimate love arts and a novel and instruction manual in one fun and exciting book.

For what it's worth, here's this author's personal opinion based on personal experiences:

I am empowered by tasting, touching, seeing, hearing and smelling God in a physical form. I am empowered by blending with another aspect of God who is also in a physical form. I know that the capacity to love and to feel sexual ecstasy is a taste of God — a gift from The Source of All That Is.

This must be so for I feel God’s Heart beating against mine. I feel God’s arms wrapped around me. She must be God in physical form, for what more beautiful touch is there be than to feel the divine bliss of a Lingam-filled Yoni.

And so, when I am deeply connected with my beloved, I joyfully see, hear, taste, touch, and smell the energetic essences that are expressed these words:

“When two or more are gathered in my name, I am there also.”
"Do onto others as you would have them do onto you."
"Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven
and all else will be added onto you."

The Most Overpowering Urge: What seems to be one of the most overpowering urge that dominates all of our lives? Yes, sex is powerful, but reach beyond sex for a moment. I'm referring to that universal longing which transcends sexuality -- that universal longing which touches humans from birth to death -- that drive, that urge, that craving to connect with whatever that invisible source is that we call "God."

We want to belong, to be loved, to feel safe, to feel good. In times of strife, how many millions of us have tuned to religion or to some invisible something looking for answers, looking for relief, for solace and comfort? When the end of our physical life approaches,° most of us seek that same source.

Nobody can say with certainty what that source is, but most of us will admit that the urge to merge with it has a profound affect upon us and upon our behavior.

What are We? We call ourselves human beings, but what is a human being. Are we simply a physical body or are we more than that? The evidence indicates that we are, at minimum, both a part of and a creation of that invisible source we call God. We are also highly sentient beings for whom communication with our fellow humans is vitally important.

Inter-human Communication: We obviously relate to each other and to our environment by way of our five senses. It's also obvious that when communicating with each other, some senses are more significant than others.

Sight and sound are our most common forms of communication. For most of us, other than a hand shake, a pat on the back and an occasional hug, communication via touch is reserved for those with whom, we have close relationships. The most pleasant form of communication comes from touching and being touched by another human being -- the more intimate the touch the more delightful it feels.

The ultimate communication is that between lovers who add a mental and an emotionally component to their physical contact. The ultimate touch, the most blissful communication is that five-sensory touch that produces blissful, orgasmic sensations via interconnected genitals. The act of physical love:

l is infinitely blissful,

l can take us into the unmanifested realms of reality where we can experience aspects of reality that can be reached only by sexual ecstasy or years of devoted meditation practices,

l harms no one, (except in casual sex where unwanted pregnancy and STD's are possible)

l gives infinite joy to self and to someone else, and

l is, at times, the ultimate act of human creation -- the creation of another human life.

How can such an act be anything but Godly?

Sex and Spiritual Consciousness

We are, by our very nature, sentient beings who thrive on touch from our fellow human beings. Our society strongly associates touching between humans over the age of puberty with sexual intercourse. Sexual intercourse, in turn, has been loaded with emotional taboos that complicate and aggravate the already-present, potential problems such as sexual coercion, unwanted pregnancy, social condemnation, venereal diseases, and AIDS. As a result, simple touching between adult humans has become fraught with fear, guilt, shame, and other negative emotions.

The Book, A Blissful Yoni Dance, explores intimate sensual human touch from a perspective that provides a fresh view -- a view that honors our human sensual nature -- a view that honors freedom of choice and offers a context in which to experience sensual pleasures in a safe and sane manner.

In school, the three Rs (Reading, (W)riting and (A)rithmetic) were openly and objectively taught. But two of the other main staples of human life, sex and spirituality, have had considerably different treatment. Until recently, in western society, sex has been either intentionally repressed or almost completely ignored. Spiritual theories and beliefs about the nature of the universe -- how it actually functions and how human beings function within it -- have been, and continue to be, severely condemned and overpowered by the followers of very old, and very fixed, un-provable, religious beliefs.

A Blissful Yoni Dance breaks these barriers by exploring the relationship between sexual pleasure and our human spiritual nature. It offers significant, relevant information that you may not yet be aware of -- information that can assist you in making more informed choices about how to live your life.

Because the book was written to entertain, to inform, to enlighten -- and to expose the readers to new possibilities, it also includes several additional ideas, techniques, practices, and teaching stories that you may find very useful.

Sex as Your Ticket to "Heaven"

The practice described below is just one example of how to use your God-given sexual capacity to touch "The Infinite Source of All." It is offered to those people who can acknowledge themselves as something more than their physical bodies.

The Basic Exercise: The first step is to sit comfortably, close your eyes, and relax. Take several deep breaths and become aware of yourself as [or pretend you are] a multi-dimensional being of light temporarily living on planet Earth in a physical body.

Imagine yourself sitting on a safe seat in the middle of a very unusual highway. This highway is unique because, in addition to the normal front/back left/right directions, it also has a roadway going up over your head into the sky and another going down into the Earth below your feet.

Imagine the front/back roadway as a sliding time scale between the future in front of you and the past behind you. Imagine the left/right roadway as a sliding gender scale between feminine on your left and masculine on your right. Imagine the up/down roadway as a sliding dimension scale between the physical world below and the non physical reality above.

Now imagine yourself growing so big that the three roadways appear to be very small and look like three intersecting lines. Imagine you heart as the point where all three lines (roadways) intersect.

You are now sitting in a very special position. You are consciously and intentionally sitting at the intersection where past and future meet, at the intersection where where masculine and feminine meet, and at the intersection where spirit and matter meet, (Although you are usually not aware of it, you are at this triple intersection, all day long, every day, no matter where you are, what you are doing, or what you are thinking about.)

Heart: As you sit quietly, feel love and joy coming into your heart from any one of the six directions (above, below, front, back, left, right). Feel love and joy coming into your heart from any other of the six directions. Continue until you have intended the love/joy energy coming into your heart from all six directions at the same time. Do the above practice several times, until you are comfortable with it and until you can easily feel (or imagine you feel) yourself receiving energy into your heart from all six directions at the same time.

Lower Abdomen: Now, imagine an additional set of three lines (down/up, front/back, left/right) intersecting your body at the place in your lower abdomen where you feel your strongest orgasmic sensations. As you sit quietly, feel love and joy coming into your lower abdomen from any one of the six directions (above, below, front, back, left, right). Feel love and joy coming into your abdomen from any other of the six directions. Continue until you have intended the love/joy energy coming into your lower abdomen from all six directions at the same time. Do the above practice several times, until you are comfortable with it and until you can easily feel (or imagine you feel) yourself receiving energy into your lower abdomen from all six directions at the same time.

Head: Imagine a third set of three lines (down/up, front/back, left/right) intersecting inside your head slightly above and behind your eyes. As you sit quietly, feel love and joy coming into your head from any one of the six directions (above, below, front, back, left, right). Feel love and joy coming into your head from any other of the six directions. Continue until you have intended the love/joy energy coming into your head from all six directions at the same time. Do the above practice several times, until you are comfortable with it and until you can easily feel (or imagine you feel) yourself receiving energy into your head from all six directions at the same time.

Combine Head, Heat, and Abdomen: Once you're reasonably comfortable with the above three practices, imagine experiencing all three of them at the same time. (You can also add four more energy intersections so that you feel one at each of your seven chakras.) Now imagine your whole being being filled to capacity with the love/joy energy.

Next imagine yourself radiating some of this energy outward from your physical self. Using your mind; direct the energy anywhere you choose; any way you choose; and for any purpose you choose. Send the energy with your thoughts, your eyes, and your hands. Be absolutely certain that you direct the energy in ways that are positive or neutral and in ways that are in the highest and best good of all concerned in the long run.

Remember the supply of energy is infinite. You are merely channeling and directing the energy that is coming to you and through you. Also remember that you are not asking anyone or anything. You're the one in charge. You're directing the energy. Direct it wisely.

Adding Sexual Consciousness: Next, imagine the greatest sexual joy from your past coming into you from behind you. Imagine the greatest sexual joy you would desire in your future coming into you from in front of you. Feel the ecstasy of those two joys blending in orgasmic ecstasy in your body. Feel the ecstasy in you lower abdomen, in your heart, and in your head.

Next, imagine Sacred Mother Earth (the perfection of physical reality) coming into you from your below. Imagine The Infinite Source of All That Is (the perfection of the unmanifested Father God) coming into you from above your head. Feel the ecstasy of the masculine and feminine energies blending in orgasmic ecstasy in your body. Feel the ecstasy in you lower abdomen, in your heart, and in your head.

Next, imagine your ideal image of femininity coming into you from your left. Imagine your ideal image of masculinity coming into you from your right. Feel the ecstasy of the masculine and feminine energies blending in orgasmic ecstasy in your body. Feel the ecstasy in you lower abdomen, in your heart, and in your head.

Adding Sexual Stimulation: Once you are comfortable with the mental exercises, you can add physical sexual stimulation to this exercise. With or without a partner, the potential joys are infinite.

Although many people will be able to feel some differences relatively quickly, the paragraphs above provide only a brief description of a practice which takes some time to master. Don't expect instant mastery, unless, of course, you can master a foreign language in two minutes or can move from couch potato to Olympic athlete in three days.

Orgasm comes in "Thirty-One Flavors"
Anyone who claims orgasm is only a genital experience has a very limited experience of orgasm. Here are a few edited excerpts from personal journal notes.

I feel the orgasmic sensations flowing into me from any or all seven directions -- from above, below, front back, left, right, and from the unmanifested God-point in my heart area. I feel wonderfully engulfed in blissful sensations as I completely release my conscious self to the God-Self within.

Although I feel the orgasmic sensations flowing in different directions at different times, the orgasmic sensations most commonly originate at the base of my spine or within my lower abdomen and flow or explode from there.

One powerfully strong pathway carries the orgasmic sensations into my genitals --- into the tip of my penis, and then carries my consciousness completely into my partner, where it explodes and completely and intensely engulfs both my body-consciousness and my partner’ body consciousness so that I and my partner become one unified being. In this type of orgasm, as I feel the orgasm flow out the front of my body, I also feel a river of orgasmic ecstasy flowing into the back of my body. (usually in through the top and back of my head) (This is, to date, the most intense and ecstatic type of orgasm.)

Another powerfully strong pathway carries the orgasmic sensations up through my back and into my head, filling my head with all kinds of sensations of ecstatic joy.

Still another powerfully strong pathway carries the orgasmic sensations directly from the base of my spine into my genitals and then into the tip of my penis where it explodes and completely engulfs my body-consciousness in the ecstasy of orgasm.

Still another powerfully strong pathway carries the orgasmic sensations into my entire being. My conscious awareness explodes into orgasm. I become only my orgasm. I am completely and intensely engulfed in orgasm, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Sometimes, I rise into ecstasy as if I were floating on a cloud. I intentionally breathe the ecstatic sensations up my spine, into my head and then gently down the front of my body through my genitals all the way to by toes. If I am careful, I can maintain this mild to moderate state of ecstasy for about three minutes and repeat it two or three times in a single sexual session.

I can now clearly distinguish between masculine and feminine orgasms. Masculine orgasms tend to be focused in the genitals and flow outward into the female. Feminine orgasms tends to be focused within the lower abdomen and flow up or down within the body. Living in a male body and having mastered the practice of transferring sexual stimulation to non-genital part of the body (lower abdomen at the top of the pubic bone) I am now able to experience both types of orgasm.

From personal experience, I assure you that orgasms come in a wide variety of sensations, and regardless of the direction or style of flow, every orgasm is a completely ecstatic joy-filled experience.
